To give you an idea, the G 9000 has been tested and clips at 218WPC. When you hear distortion "Turn it down" !ġ2 watts of "REAL" continuous power, BTW is quite alot of juice! Never had a problem but the literature does state what we all should already know. I have driven mine with my G 9000 receiver many times and at high volumes. This fuse will will pass 400 watts for 1 second, 25 watts for 30 seconds and 12 watts continuous. It does have info regarding fusing the speakers, Ie In the negative line place an in line fuse # MDL-1, 3AG 1amp slo blo or FNM-1. Nowhere in the literature does it give a max power capability. They are 8 ohms with a power requirement of 15 watts RMS per Ch. They are the "New Advent Loudspeaker", come in both wood and Vinyl (Utility) cabinet and measure 14 1/8 X 26 X 11 1/2" and weight 47 pounds. With only one 4 OHM speaker to drive, the receiver sounds much better and the DIY speakers voice match surprisingly well with the Advents. I now have one of the Advents as the center channel. They impressed me enough to push the Advents out of the mains spot. This was all an issue until a few days ago when I built some DIY speakers from which I was not expecting really amazing sound. The bass is weak and the dynamic range simply isn't as broad running off this receiver. It is rated at "100w" per channel but I doubt it pushes anywhere near that, especially when running three other speakers. My receiver (which I regret buying) is an inexpensive Panasonic SA-HE100. They sounded great on that thing with plenty of bass and clear mids and highs.įor the past few years they have been the mains in my home theater setup. el cheapo) which, I'm guessing, pumped about 30w per channel. I used to run them off an old Quadraflexx 777 (yeah, I know. They are quite inefficient and need quite a bit of power to make them sound good. Click to expand. It sounds like you have the Smaller Advents? I have a pair myself and have been using them for a very long time.
